Against this background

Precisely on August 14, 1999, a social organization called the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee, abbreviated as MER-C, was born.

To date, MER-C has sent more than 124 humanitarian missions to various regions in the country, including 2 missions to Afghanistan, 1 mission to Iraq, 1 mission to Iran (under the auspices of the Indonesian Ministry of Health), 1 mission to Thailand, 2 missions to Pakistani Kashmir, 1 mission to South Lebanon, 1 mission to Sudan, 1 mission to Somalia, 2 missions to Palestine (during the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip), and 5 missions to Palestine related to the construction of the Indonesian Hospital.

MER-C, which was originally only based in Jakarta, has now begun to spread its soul to various regions.

It is marked by the existence of MER-C branches and representatives, with six branches spread throughout the country: one branch in Germany and one branch in Gaza, Palestine.

As the branches grow, hopefully the quality of helping the ummah can be further improved.

Indonesian Hospital, Gaza - Palestine

The hospital land, covering an area of 16,261 m2, located in Bayt Lahiya, North Gaza, is a waqf from the Palestinian Government in Gaza.

While the funds for the construction of the hospital to date have come entirely from donations from the Indonesian people, there has been no foreign aid.

For this reason, this hospital was named RS Indonesia (RSI) in the hope that it could be proof of the long-term friendship between the Indonesian people and the Palestinian people.

It is hoped that the existence of RSI will help treat patients who have experienced physical trauma and rehabilitate them so that they can become independent and active again.

Why is it called RS Indonesia?

One, because all the funds come from the Indonesian people.

Two, we hope that this hospital will be proof of the long-term friendship between the Indonesian people and the Palestinian people.

Three, with the name and existence of this hospital, we want to give the message that in the land of Palestine, there are assets and donations from the Indonesian people for the Palestinian people.
